The Family Medicine Clinic of Wright State Physicians seeks to hire a Family Medicine Physician to provide primary care physician services including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating and educating patients. The Family Medicine Physician will work closely with other physicians, clinicians, and health professionals in a team approach to patient care. The preferred candidate will have at least 1-3 years' experience as a family physician in an ambulatory setting working with both a managed care and Medicare population.
Family physician with strong interest in medical education and curriculum development in the family medicine clerkship and electives; evaluating and supervising medical students in a community based/university setting. Clinical experience in direct patient care in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting and coverage.
Faculty responsibilities: 40% time spent in medical education, scholarly, and administrative activities. This includes didactic development and oversight as well as direct patient care teaching and supervision of medical students in a community based/university setting and collaborative scholarship with faculty and medical students. Approximately 60% time in outpatient and/or inpatient care and coverage, utilizing strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of the patient centered medical home concept. Potential leadership role.
1. M.D. or D.O. degree
2. Completion of a 3-year allopathic or osteopathic residency in Family Medicine
3. Board Certification in Family Medicine
4. Ohio Medical License or eligible for licensure
5. Demonstrated effective performance in discipline recognized by peers
2-5 years of clinical experience with interest in medical student education, curriculum development, student supervision and evaluation. Knowledge of direct patient care in the outpatient care and/or inpatient setting. Obstetrical skills a plus. Track record of scholarly activities
